Is it ok to put D6 in my 2001 4.4i?
 

I've read that the 3.0 have GM trans but the 4.4i does not. I have both Redline D4 and D6 ready and I'm debating which to put. I have 94k right now. What about the transfer case D4 or D6?

I went with D4ATF in my 2001 3.0 with the GM A5S390R transmission. GM and BMW both spec Dexron VI for it now, but I spoke with RedLine and they believe that D4ATF is better for it. However, that probably has no relevance to the transmission in your car. I'd send the RedLine guys an email and ask them.
