High Beam Light Issue
I almost never use my high beams at all, but for some reason I got a check high beam warning coming on in my 2005 X5. My passenger side high beam is not turning on. I changed the high beam bulb out and realized it was not the bulb.
So I metered the voltage on the connector that connects to the H1 bulb. When there is no bulb in the holder I see voltage come up to about 8-9Vdc. If I put a bulb in there I see no voltage at all. Anyone know more about the X5 electrical system that can help. I guess I should also mention my X5 originally had halogen head lights and I swapped to OEM bixenon headlights. I have had them working for about 6 months with no issues till now. Any thoughts? Anyone? Thanks. |
..... just got the same message too. Checked them and everything works fine (high/low/position); by the way car battery is on its last kick, could this cause message to appear? Any input is apreciated!
