Bluetooth and Phone Disappeared

Have a 2006 x5 sport fully loaded since last summer. My blackberry storm worked just fine for 10 months and just out of nowhere my phone button in the x5 doesn't come up on the screen and blue-tooth completely stopped working. Before when I entered the car it would automatically detect my blackberry with no problems, now it's like blue-tooth doesn't even exist.
Anyone have any ideas???

Sounds sort of like my problem?

YASOU RE Antonakis!! The problem with your bluetooth is the BLUETOOTH MODULE that sits in the boot of the car by the CD changer. This is what you are looking for.
Bluetooth BMW ULF Module 84 10 9 154 358 13th Gen GOOD LUCK.

No BMW Assist vehicles have an ULF module. It's a TCU module. Disconnect the battery for 15 minutes. And recheck bluetooth operation.

Thanks for the replys. That module is like 650! Wow!! I called my bmw dealer and they said its because my blackberry storm isn't supported and that I will probably need a new tcu and I different phone that's compatible. They had many situations like mine. Its hard to believe this but hey I've seen stranger things. So do you think disconnecting the battery will reset things back to normal? Plus 650 docent seem worth spending to get an updated ucu or tcu.

I have an LG Dare and have the same problem. My dealer told me to get a different phone that was BMW compatible. You don't need a new TCU or have to disconnect the battery. There are three fuses for the NAV and phone in the back right corner of the trunk. With the X5 off, take the fuses out. Start the X5. Nothing will come up on the NAV screen. Turn it off. Put the fuses back it. When you start it again it you will have your phone back. You will need to do this whenever you lose the phone. May be a little pain, but it's a lot better than getting a new phone or TCU. Good luck.

You can reset the battery or reset the TCU unit itself. It's not difficult to do.

I had the same problem as you. One day my Bluetooth just wouldn't work. I couldn't pair any phones and none of the Call Assist/Voice buttons worked.
I followed the instructions below to reset the power on the TCU. I left it fully disconnected for about 15-20 minutes. Then plugged it back, turned the key to position 2 and was able to pair my phone again. Now all works fine.
I think it's worth trying before shelling out $600+.

Here's the link i followed.

Good luck.

So I went to take the fuses out but got totally confused. I can't find the fuses. Where it says telephone it says 7, 73, 74 and it doesn't correspond to the fuses.
