06 le mans-hole in my grill!
just discovered a hole in my grill beside my number plate-is this easy enough to replace?

He's probably talking about the plastic grills on the lower part of the front bumper (right & left of the license plate).
Don't know if you have to actually remove the bumper but if you have to - it's not that hard to do. There's a DIY in the articles section or here's another to look at: http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...tructions.html It's probably very similar, if not exactly the same, to the US models when it comes to removing the bumper. |

I have exactly the same problem - several holes from stone impacts on the freeway have punched through two of the cheapo plastic grill sections on the front bumper. Yes it's a bumper off job. Part numbers are on RealOEM. I'll probably be doing mine DIY later this year, especially given BMW Dealer labour prices!!

Yep, bumper has to come off.

On my 3.0i, I managed to slide them in without removing the bumper (both the left and the right). Tough but doable.
