Custom exhaust on my X5 3.0
|
Looks awesome sounds mean as well. Gotta say it but that is my one of my favorite colors too
|
WOW, how much was the total job?
|
sounds mean. very nicely done.

Thanks Sethro. It was our third choice for color, blue and charcoal being first and second, but when you're waiting for a manual transmission, you don't have a lot of options. It took us two months to find a manual that fit our requirements/price range, and we jumped at it.
Total bill was $715. It sounds VERY similar to our 328i, which had no resonator and a pretty straight through stainless dual tip muffler. We loved that sound. That and this our her daily drivers, and she doesn't want obnoxious sound, but I like a little deeper tone. This turned out perfect for me. |
Sounds Great!
Did you delete the resonator?? I did that on my 3.0 with a Supersprint set up.....sounds mean! :D Rich:thumbup: |
Nope, I left the resonator in.

Niiice! I like the tips a lot! They're not too small and not too big (the tips). You can just pop in the plastic exhaust trim to get a cleaner look but still looks good w/o them.
I like that the tips have thickness to them and not some thin gauge looking pipe. |
What kind of tips are those ? ? ?
|
I'll have to ask the muffler shop who manufactures them and get back to you.
