What do you think of this price for an X5?
I am considering buying this vehicle tomorrow (I really loved it when I saw it)...if anyone could give me an honest opinion on the price I am buying it for I would really appreciate it. I want to make sure I am getting a pretty good deal. You guys are experts and I am just a newbie to X5's!
The dealer is selling the vehicle (specs listed below) to me for $32,000. Its certified pre-owned with a warranty. 2002 X5 6 CYL 3.0L Miles: 45638 Black/Black Fabric: Leather Engine: 6 CYL 3.0L Equipment: All Season Traction Control,All Wheel Drive,Automatic Air Conditioning,Automatic Transmission,Cold Weather Package,Dark Wood Trim,Dual Power Seats,Dynamic Stability Control,Glass Moonroof,Headlamp Washing System,Heated Front Seats,Heated Steering Wheel,Navigation System,Premium Package,Premium Sound System,Rain Sensor,Rear Climate Package,Xenon Headlamps, Thanks!! |

It is a certified pre-owned warranty. I believe 2 years on top of the standard warranty when that runs out.

It looks to be priced about a grand too high to be a decent deal. A dealer or seller wants to make money on the vehicle, you can't expect them to break even and be satisfied, but you have some room. It doesn't seem to have the sport package, or park distance control (do you know if it does?) Does it have rear climate control? I just pulled this from Edmunds.com with the mileage you quoted: 2002 BMW X5 3.0i AWD 4dr SUV (3.0L 6cyl 5M) Trade-In Private Party Dealer Retail National Base Price $22,072 $23,547 $26,004 Optional Equipment $4,182 $4,454 $5,449 Total $26,131 $27,870 $31,307 Certified Used Vehicle $34,084 Beware that if a third party dealer (not a BMW dealer) is selling you a "CPO" warranty, it ain't really a CPO warranty. It's an insurance policy and you'll be paying for a percentage of the repairs most likely. Warranty companies don't like to pay the $110 per hour that a BMW dealership costs. Talk 'em down and tell them that you can't have a BMW CPO'd and sell it through a third party dealer as a BMW CPO if that's their angle. Good luck, homes. JV |
For a CPO car...your a little high...but not too bad.

Thanks again for all of your help JV.
To answer your question....its being sold at a BMW dealership. I unfortunatley don't know if it has rear climate control or park distance control. Oh ya...and I would be getting it at 2.9% financing. So what do you think? |

And if your credit is good ( 700 plus Fico) you should also be able to get 1.9, they are holding back a point on the rate too!!
