any warranty issues after your surgery? or better...any electrical problems fixed under warranty after the retrofit?

Joe Puma and King (Arvi) have both done the retrofit. BMW isn't going to warranty the nav system, but they shouldn't void coverage on other electrical components as long as you used OEM nav systm parts, including the wiring harness.

whew. dealer had to reprogram the cluster, but all is well...and covered by warranty.

How expensive is this retrofit, I am planning on doing it within the next months.
