self-leveling susp. broke
hey guys, my 01, had the "self-leveling suspension inactive" warning come one, and stay on. I also have a bad squeek comming from the pass./rear tire. So I know its not a fuse(i checked) but what needs to be replaced? is it the shock, air bag, or what? how do i trouble shoot, to pinpoint the problem?
Thanks Chris |
Hey Chris, is the Search button broke? ;) Seriously though, welcome to the boards. Fortunately w/ it being a 9yr old car, everything you could ever wanna know has probably already been answered before instead of posting and hoping a reply comes across. If you're still stumped, then fireaway by reviving an old thread, then it keeps all the information in one place.

Hey Chris, best thing is to search for "self-leveling suspension inactive" and when you see the results just right-click and open the threads you like, read and see if thats your problem, If not read the next thread and so on. Im sure youll come across your problem.

What m5james said. When i had the same problem it ended up being the level sensors and arms that have failed/seized. I would get soeone to run the error code and see what it comes up with.

wow, i did search, but every thread i checked said it was just a fuse.

Narrower search, less wording, etc. NITROGRASS has been posting a lot of information from his bag replacement, posting where modules were, etc. It's out there man, trust me.
