06 4.4i black/tan. 19" sport and all the goodies. Except cold package. I live in Alabama, no big deal. Fixin to paint grills next week. Just got the windows and windshield tinted. Pulled the decals off today. Love the site, learned a great deal in a little amount of time.

Congrats man awesome X! The V8 with 19's is a good look for sure! Enjoy!

PS - I've had tints on every car for the past 10 years in (north) Jersey and really haven't had any issues. No limo tint on the front but 20% and I've been ok, maybe stopped once or twice in 10 years. They killed us in high-school but now that I'm an old man (32 in April) I've been ok.

Good luck and congrats once again!

Looks great, welcome to the board. You will love that V8.

Depends on percentage. I have 35% on the front and knock on wood, no stops in Bergen County. My pba card should get me out of any tint tickets anyway.

Congrats on the new truck too. I love the rims.

i have 35% in Morris County, I've gotten 3 tickets already.

2 in NJ and 1 in New York State on route 81 coming home from school

total cost of tickets: $310

DAMN :(

Holy cow, the cops are strict out there. I don't even get a second look around here. Then again, I know way too many people with 5% on all windows that rarely get pulled over for it, much less get tickets.

Yep I have 5% all the way around and 35% on the full windshield. Cant see in at all during middle of day sun light. Love it

Nice Ride!!!! You will love your X and mostly, you will love this site  How did you remove the emblems? I really want to remove the dealer's emblem and leave only the factory one.

AndrewX5 02-21-2010 10:15 AM

My wife removes the decals on all of our cars. Its her thing but I love it. Use a plastic card of some sorts and slowly get behind and pull off. U will need some alcohol or mild remover to get the sticky off, then wash imediately. I didnt want denatured alcohol to be on my paint for very long. Enjoy
