Car Wash...Safe for 20" wheels

Because of the redicilous snow storm that hit the North East.

I hate to say it, but I haven't had time to wash my car.

Reasons to say would be work, school, and I just don't know if the rims would be scratched on the tracks of the Brushless Car Wash.:dunno:.

So would anyone with 20" rims or higher recommenf going through a Brushless Car Wash?

Thanks for the help.

I've taken mine (20") through the Embassy and Dr. Wash places in Virginia without any problems. The strong sidewall of the Diamaris seems to help.

i had mine washed, the thing to look for us to make sure that the track that catches the left wheel is wide enough to fit the 20". Ask the manager they should be able to tell you the width.

VQT, where are you located, im in the dulles area.

I've done it with no problem - it's really not the 20" size that you need to be concerned about though.

It's best to get out a tape and measure the maximum width of the tire and ask the car wash if that size tire is too wide for the track.

Typically the outside of the rim will be narrower than the tire so you won't scrape it - also check that the rail on the outside if not inside as well are covered with plastic.

Flagship in Rockville says they will take up to 13" width tires.

I haver done it on a couple of occasions but I kind of hold my breath the whole time. Not a big fan of car washes in general a lot can go wrong. winshield wipers, mirrors, wheels, paint, ect.
