What are all the wheel widths for the E53?
I have Style 132 19x9. I'm debating on putting H&R 25mm DRA wheel spacers on the front. That's a little less than an inch further out.
As you go with wider and wider BMW wheels, one half of the extra width goes / adds to the outside, and the other half goes to the inside (this is to keep the scrub radius the same). I've got 9" wide wheels. How wide are the larger wheels (20", 21", 22")? 'cuz if any of them are 10.5" wide, then there's my 25mm spacer right there.. and I'll know in advance that this spacer isn't 'too wide' for good looks. Thanks |
20" wheels are 10.5" wide. I believe 21" are 11" wide.

My 22's are 11 in the rear. I think they have a really nice substantial, beefy, muscular look.
So if the 25mm spacer equates to the look of a 10.5 inch tire I say go for it. My fronts are only 9.5, I think it would look amazing with 10.5 look in the front. |

I just measured using some wood, then looking straight down at the faring. It would mean the tire sidewall would stick out about 1/4". Not the tread edge, but the side. The tread shoulder edge would still be tucked under. Sooo.. maybe not too close to the "Oregon Hill billy truck" out there look, but yeah.. that's getting out there for a BMW. But then again, the spacers on my Z3 Coupe have the sidewall out 1/4" and the car look wicked cool that way. I'd never go back. hmmmm... tempting.. |
TurnAround, you probably have it figured out by now,
