Key fob not working
 

Both my key fobs are not working. i have to use key to lock/unlock doors. alarm works with this. Any ideas before i go to stealer ? thanks

common issue, the internal battery in the key is dead. you got two options (1) replace the key thur the dealer ($167.00) or (2) replace the battery.

Just fixed it. Friend called a tech and gave instructions took less then 30 seconds. basically cycled key and then held buttons. If any one needs instructions let me know. thanks

There is this set of instructions in the 'Articles' Section.

I had to use the lower set of instructions on the page linked to below when my 'X' came back from the stealer with the keys wiped. No idea why it happened but they had just had the transmission replacement job taken away from them...........not sure why reading the Transmission fault codes had wiped the central locking key fob details for the two keys, but it had.
