How to remove vanos unit?
 

Well my vanos is finnaly giving out, and I am going to change the seals. Hopefully fixing the problem. I have searched the forum on how to remove it but I have not found anything. If any of you can just tell me where it is located and how to remove, I will greatly appreciate it. By the way it is an I6.

It's actually very simple although it might seem intimidating. After you do it once, you'll know you can do it again in about 1hr. Beisan Systems has an awesome write up.

Beisan writeup is very thorough. You do need a pretty good selection of tools.

I've done this DIY. You will spill a lot of oil FYI but I think it's worth the effort.
