Magnaflow Tru-X Pipes
Hey I am looking to install this baby in my 3.0L X5, just wondering what size of dual inlets it suppose to be? 2.25? 2.50? 3.00?
Thanks |
2.5" is the current piping diameter on your e53.
|
Thanks man ! I am putting the order thru right the way
|
Try to post a video after you get it done so we can all hear it.
|
Sure, BTW the price on the X-pipe is about 84 dollars.
|
Yeah, it can be an inexpensive mod granted you find a place that welds them on nicely and without leaks for a decent price. It can be a nightmare if you take it one place that does a poor job, then to another to try and fix a mistake only for them to cost you even more money out of your pocket....
If I could do this mod again on my x5, I probably would've waitied to gather up flanges and gaskets...asked the muffler shop to put flanges on my xpipe and old resonators...so I can switch back if i need to or if I sold the car without the xpipe.. |
Charlie,
Do you have OEM muffler with your X-pipe? You have a 3.0, right? I have just the Remus on mine, and it's pretty tame on the 'lil 3.0i. Sure would love to hear how your X piped X sounds compared to just the Remus with the stock resonator. |

Good advice, thanks man. Hmm, so where should I get flanges and gaskets from? |
Hope it's not too late, but it is about 2.25", not 2.5"... the OEM piping is metric in sized and the 2.25 is the closest match, and a tiny bit bigger in diameter as well.

WOW, I am screwed-.- I got the 2.5..........
