Good news! New engine is in.

I am so excited to have my X5 back, that I have to tell everyone! :wow:
It had been out of commission for more than 1 month after the engine failed. Total cost along with some other fixes (like CV shaft, P/S Diff. fluids, fan belt) was $4,240. Dirt cheap for an engine swap and then some. It would have been ~$15000 at BMW, or ~$8000 at indy. The "new" engine has about 100,000km on it, it is quite a bit, but the engine it replaced had 170,000km. SO FAR, it drives like nothing ever happened to it! I can't wait to give her a good detailing this Friday. I will throw up some pics  http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...ine-video.html http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...0l-engine.html |
Congraz.. Glad that everything works out well.

I bought them from lakeshorewheels.com, last time I checked they were not selling them anymore. |
Thanks for the reply. I've searched high and low and never came across those. Thanks.

Out of curiosity you should call lakeshorewheels and ask them why they were discontinued. Everyone is looking for them, but they are not longer selling them :dunno: |
That's cool mayne. I guess my 87's will have to do for now. The search continues....
