Tire Pressure Question
Hey all,
I've got the stock Diamaris 19's and was curious about what pressures everybody else is running. The car came with over inflated tires so I reduced the pressures to the stock setting of 32psi. However, at that pressure, the tires have a somewhat flat look to them particularly in the front. Is this normal or have you guys added a few pounds? TIA. P.S. Tires were measured in the morning. Cold, no driving on them. |
32 psi seems about right

Personally, I run what the door jam recommends for my partucular wheel setup and typical passenger/cargo load.

i thought the same thing as you with 32 psi. When I took my car to a bmw indy shop in for an oil change last november, they inflated it to 48 psi and my tpms came on. i checked the tire pressure and then called them to ask why it was at 48 psi. they told me it's better to run my tires at max during the winter. i deflated back to 35 psi and never went back there again.
those diamaris tires lasted about 1 year/22k miles for me. didn't like them. |
that's interesting because mine had 42psi in them when checked. i just thought that the rough ride was due to the sport suspension. what a difference 10 psi made! anyway, good to know that many others are having the same experience as me.
