newer style tail lights on a 2002 3.0 ??
 

I have a 2002 3.0 and from what I have read I can install the newer style tail lights without any wire adapter?? Is this true? I don't want any warning lights or tail light issues! Sorry I know this has probably been discussed before I'm really just wanting to double check. Oh also are the smaller inner lights any different from the older to the newer??

Pretty sure thats true, the ones iv seen on ebay are usualy for 2000 to 03 and since i have a 05 i would need a harness for it in order for them to not give me a error.

so does this mean I do need a harness??? My production date is 08/02

no you dont. Its basic take the old ones, plug the new ones, put 3 screws in and done.

Check out this link, post #9. It can be done with a minor change on the wiring harness.
