Door Handle Carrier PROBLEM....

1 Attachment(s)
I was replacing the carrier when I got to the handle removal and can not get the bolt off that's shown in the photo. The plastic piece on the back of the bolt just spins freely. Is there anything I can do or do I need a new handle and bolt. Where could I get this bolt and does anyone know the part number? Thanks in advance for any help.

you need four two people and a needle nose pliers. the bolt can be replaced. try realoem for the bolt

I'm a little slow... not sure what that means. But, I did use needle nose pliers and wasn't able to get a grip on the backside of the nut.

A 30 second search got these results.

I've some times had luck in similar situations using a curved needle nose pliers:

Thanks Penquin that might work, I could not get regular needle nose behind the handle to get a grip.

Thanks quicksilver for the search, those are the post I was using to replace the carrier until I came upon the unexpected problem that I described above...
the plastic fastener behind the nut (pictured) is somewhat stripped or whatever, it just turns freely when I try to loosen the bolt and I'm not able to get anything behind the bolt to grip it and secure the backside to loosen the bolt. Hopefully Penquins suggestion will work. Thanks again and still appreciate any suggestions.

The curved needle nose pliers were unsuccessful...........

Anybody else have any suggestions or should should I just try to cut the bolt off and get a new bolt and handle???
