First off I want to thank mbmwx5 for the work he did on my grill. Still love this car, can't seem to stop thinking about all the other mods I want to do!

That set of 215 looks like mine :D...I have the same set on my e70 as well. Looking good!

sethro 04-01-2010 08:02 PM

Very nice the gunmetal 215's are really giving it an aggressive stance:thumbup:

Looks really good.

What did you clean the black bumper plastic up with and how do you like the S/T II's?

sethro 04-01-2010 11:23 PM

^^ Yeah what did you use? I'm guessing armor all

X5 Meister 04-01-2010 11:36 PM

Well you definitely like black. How do you find it at night?

XV8 04-02-2010 12:18 AM

Well dresses in black!

GargolaXV 04-02-2010 12:52 AM

Very nice! Love the shoes :)

cimbro 04-02-2010 03:23 AM

I saw on your profile the x pipe on your x. Do you buy a special central silencer, or do you take off the original and put straight pipes? Please, let me know I'l like to do it because my stock exaust is too quite, you don't know that it's a V8!! Thanks

KingCon 04-02-2010 09:27 AM

For some reason my Multie quote button isn't working....Thanks everyonce for the compliments. I've been inspired by all the great looking rides on this forum so I can't take all the credit.

I use 303 aerospace protectorant in the summer and black wow in the winter. The pollen seems to stick less to the 303.

I really like the S/T II's as compared to the S/T I's. I've put around 15k miles and they still are pretty quite. For the price I really can't complain.

I'm not sure what a central silencer is, sorry. I just bought an X-pipe and took my car to Meinekie, they took of the resenator and slapped the X-pipe on. It was totally worth the $95, as the stock exaust is holding back a beast!

FSETH 04-02-2010 09:37 AM

This stuff, huh?

303 Products, Inc.: 303 Aerospace Protectant

I am going to have to give it a try. The black plastic on your X looks amazing. Interesting that one of their suggested applications is on CV boots. Since ours are notorious for cracking, I wonder if applying this product would extend their life? I knew a guy who put a similar product on his cooling hoses when he washed his car becasue he thought it extended their life. :dunno:

Glad to hear on the S/T II's. I am going to get a set as well when my original S/T's are completely shot. So far I have over 40,000 miles on them and my only complaint has been noise.

KingCon 04-02-2010 09:41 AM

Yes that's the stuff. I read about it on another thread, where the OP mentioned he used it on his CV boots too. I've sprayed them down once a month and when ever I get the car lifted, I carry an extra bottle in the trunk:D

40K-those things have to be hella loud, like super swampers! I know mine were at 30k.

I may have to try it out on my boots as well.

Yeah, the S/T's growl quite a bit. They still have tread left and are wearing very evenly, so I am going to deal with the noise until the wear bars show. My money tree hasn't bloomed in a few springs now.

I hear that, my tree hasn't exactly been an annual lately either.

They definitely are - in the rain, snow, and dry they are quieter and handle better than the first generation.

VERY good tires

What size is the xpipe 2.25" or 2.5" that you ordered and its the magnaflow xpipe? I have 2003 4.4i...
