'06 4.8is Tachometer Question
 

Okay so I finally received my '06 X5 4.8is from BMW of Tulsa and have a question. The lights that surround half the tachometer were all illuminated when I first started it and, seemingly, extinguished as the car warmed up but the lights at 7 & 8 are still on. Is that the correct way for those lights to work?

HatsTHat's correct. It let's u know not to rev too high until the lights go off and the oil is warm. I always thought the lights followed the tach needle, but that's not true. Your good to go.....enjoy it u lucky son o beeech

Yeah you'll have half a yellow and a full red when it's warm.
