I parked my car across the street from my house, and headed off to class. I come back home and saw there was parking in the shade so i head to my car and see this....

So.... WTF! HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN!? I later find out that one of the neighbors saw what happened and they said a big truck was trying to turn around the small road and backed into me (i am guessing a 18 wheeler?) and the police came to help him out. I called the precinct and they told me that if there was a report it will be on the computer in one or 2 days.

Sigh... its not the first time one of these big trucks got lost and ended up on that neighborhood but i dont believe anyone's car got hit. And i was in the Middle of the block..

The pictures don't do it any justice as well, it was from a camera phone and it didn't exactly pick up all the details. In reality the back door had a dent in it that crumpled in and than looked like it crumpled upwards, and the bottom of the door is pushed in and the top hinges out. and there looks to be i was hit 2 times or so....

Oh man, I hate it for you. We had our X hit in the parking lot and the scumbag just left. Just got it back today actually. Hope it works out for you.

Sorry to hear that dude, I feel your anger. My dads X was parked similar way and seems the guy made a u-turn and deeply scratched from the 4.4i badge higher up rigth across the front towards the headlight, right in a busy town the guy got out pretended to right all his info on a piece of paper and puts it on the wiper. So people around didn't think anything about it (good guy) right? Turns out there was just scribbles and letters on the paper, guy was home free.

Lol i actually contacted Vince for a quote for a different dent and paint and was just about ready to go during spring break when i found out i needed brake work done and a new axle... that set plans back on fixing the original dent.. and i am partially glad if i paid to fix my original dent and ended up having new ones i would kill someone

in front of my house 5 blocks from queens center mall.

my cousin may actually have something for my in Brooklyn so i am keeping my fingers crossed, but if that falls through ill go to vince:thumbup:

that i am not 100% sure i called the precinct and they told me it may take 2 days to confirm =/

Sorry about your X. I too live in Queens (i'm actually about a 15 min walk distance to Queens Center Mall) and i'm very selective on where I park if I do have to park on the street. Good luck with the repair!

Last month driving on the rain i was in the middle laneof the freeway and the car in the right lane hit one of those large yellow buckets that protect the edge of the jersey barriers and drove it across the right front of my X and scratched the non painted corner of my front bumper
a new bumper cover is $700+ and them paint and installation
am thinking of just having the entire front bumper painted vs buying a whole new bumper and painting that

Any ideas about that ?

Go for the entire new bumper, but order the 4.8is one, it will look great! :thumbup:

When that happens to me again, I hope I'm around to see it... It will be worth them doing it just so I can catch them doing it!!!!!!!!!!!!
