Ok, you have to give more information. Where do you see the oil? I would take a paper towel around the head gaskey you installed and check to see if there is oil coming from the gasket. I replaced my gasket and it was still leaking, I had to replace the gasket cover itself because it was old and warped. There are a lot of people that can help you in this forum, but you have to give them specifics to what you are experiencing for them to help you out.

you have to find out where the leak is coming from. take the x to a mechanic with a lift and diagnose the symptoms

Did you do a recent oil change? If so, the drained oil readily collects up on the lower cover and drips for days...
easy to put a hand with rag up there and wipe clean.
Maybe the solution, may be not.

Is this a 3.0?

They are all likely if you have a confirmed oil leak. Inspect them all thoroughly. You can try spraying the suspected leak areas with brake cleaner to clean them up and then drive again to see if oil reappears.

Pan, filter adapter and VC are all probable on 3.0. Until you figure it out, be vigilant on your oil level. A leak plus standard consumption can combine to lose oil very quickly.

3.0? Usually the oil filter housing seal. It usually comes out in pieces. Bring it by my shop we service a ton of X5's
