I have the ballasts running into the ECU. The one on the drivers side is right next to the oil filter though. I assume thats why its no good anymore.

Possibly so. When you replace it look to see if the housing is slightly warped/melted looking anywhere. That's exactly what happened to mine after just about a week of having them on there. After replaced/relocated I haven't had any problems for over a year.

You were right. I replaced the drivers side ballast with one of my extras and it works great again! Just a bad ballast after all.
I looked and it was fine physically. No warping, signs of melting, connections looked to be perfect still, etc.... Now that my out angel eye problem has been solved, what about the PDC problem? I can't find a solution anywhere on here. I hooked them up just as in the DIY. Someone wrote on here that they moved the ballasts all over the place and it still didn't make a difference. Would it make a difference if I put a diode on the connection between the ECU and the ballasts? |
No. What affects the PDC with the ballasts isn't an electrical feedback problem, but seems to be caused by the output voltage frequency of the ballasts interfering with the PDC signal... The non PDC interfering ballasts I saw in the past had modified the output voltage frequency of the ballast. They were somewhat easy to find at one point, but I haven't seen them since I bought my eyes...
