Should I sell?

Been offered 17,500-18k for my 03 4.4i with 74k miles. As of now no codes and maintinance needed (tires, brakes, etc). Fully loaded with some custom mods listed below.

Should I take it?

In a heartbeat. If you haven't already, you will be encountering some serious reliability issues. I would take some more pictures because it does look nice and then get rid of it while it is still running.

Supposing you sell for that price... what is your replacement going to be? How much will it cost?

I really like the 07 335i TT coupe. Same style blk/blk fully loaded etc. Can't seem to find one here in Ga, like my X5 I had to ship from CA. I'll probably sell and rent a car for a month till I find what I'm looking for. I won't buy another X unless it's an X6, that's still a loooooong way away.

I think you should sell because you're at the mileage where things start to break. Instead of investing in major repairs, you can get a newer car under warranty and not ever have a head ache of paying for big repairs.

I'm wondering what's holding you back? Its going to suck renting a car for a month but it'll only motivate you to pick up a car sooner than later.

Your car probably doesn't blue book for that much so in my eyes, its better in your interest to accept that offer. How come the price is 17.5-18k and not a solid offer? Whats the $500 depending on?

Think ...."CAR NOTES" for how many years?
Add that up then project the worse case regarding
repairs on the vehicle you now own. Which one is cheaper?

I think I'll rent a little honda and see what 29 MPG feels like to my wallet!

More thank likely we will settle somewhere between 17k-18k. It's really not depending on anything, I just wanted to get the most possible for my X. Even at 17k I think I'll still accept.

I truly love my X, put a lot of love and $$$ into it. If it falls through I won't be crushed, but the thought of being under warranty with the option to extend to 100K in a 335i TT...drool.

My MOD list has already started, ha.

I'm wondering about mine too. I have a 2000 X5 4.4i with almost 77Kmi. I just replaced the water pump, t-stat, hoses and belts. I'm worried about the oil separator going.

Blue book says $13K. Not sure what I would get to replace it - I think I would want another truck...
