"self levelling suspension inactive"
Last night on the motorway the warning code "self levelling suspension inactive" came up on the dashboard, with the associated warning "ding". The dash warning was flashing and the ding sounding every 20 or seconds. I was moving fast in the outside lane at the time and suspected slowing down might be a good idea, although not an option at that precise moment. I pulled off the motorway at the next junction with dash still flashing and dinging, stopped and switched off the engine. The display then went to "system failure" amid multiple "dings" and then "reloading" or "rebooting" (I cannot remember), before returning to normal.
Its been fine today. Anyone had any similar experiences? James |
By the looks of your avatar, Id get it checked out right away :D j/k
If its fine today, dont worry but if it does come back on then you may want to have it checked. Rob_ |
^^^^Ha Ha!!
If it comes on again, look to see if your car is sitting down a little. May have to go to the stealer. I had to get a new pump or something like that....under warranty phewww! |
Yes I got that exact same warning once a couple of weeks ago. I pulled over, turned the contact off, turned it back on again and everything was back to normal. I have not got any problem since.

Mine has done it about 3 or 4 times since I bought it in July. It comes on, then goes off.........It still goes up & down, so it's just one of those BMW things.....:dunno:

if it doesn't happen again, ignore it, if it does, take it in and have it checked. It used to happen to my '01 every 6 months or so, BMW could never find the cause.
