Manually Raise Suspension?

I am getting very annoyed at the rear height of my 2001 X5 4.4i. Recently I had the Self_Level Suspension error pop up on the cluster and I had it repaired. The only thing thats bugging me is the fact that I have noticed that most other 4.4i X5s that I see near where I live have a higher rear height then I do.

One of my nabors that own a 2003 X5 have this control height switch that believe me I wish I had in my 01 :dunno:. With that switch he can manually higher or lower the rear suspension of his X5. Now I was wondering how do I adjust the height of my 01 X5?

Should I just take it back to the repair shop and see if they can somehow adjust the height? If there is even a way to do so?

Thanks!

You can purchase adjustable rear endlinks. U replace the stock ones and u can raise up to an inch higher. 60 bucks is an estimate price. Unless your existing ones are bent, that could cause a lower height, but if each side is equal height then it could be EHC module related. First thing should be to go to a mechanic with the gt1 computer and see if he can reset the ride height to where u want it.

Which is what I was planning on doing, I just did not know that the GT1 had the option to edit the rear height, now that I do no this I will request my indy do so :)

Thank you!

your not missing much with the ride height button. u can lower or raise it but one u drive it goes back to normal setting. u also have to have the air bags at all four corners for that option.
