Xenon replacement bulb
Hi guys... my wife's '02 X5 passenger low beam died out and will need replacement. I did a quick search on a good replacement HID bulb and am a still confused. I know stock HID is 4300k but I didn't think it was all that bright. I sometimes have to turn on fog lamps to help light up the streets. Maybe because HID bulb was dying /fading out??
Anyhow, can anyone direct me to a link to purchase a decent HID bulb? Also, should I stick with 4300k or try 6000k? Thank you. |
The 6000K buld is not as bright as the 4300K bulb. If you are looking for the most light go with the 4300K.

Original equipment HID bulbs reach a color temperature of 4,000ºK, but CrystalVision takes HID performance all the way to 5,000ºK, for a brilliant white light that’s closer to daylight than any other bulb. Whiter light means better peripheral vision for increased nighttime driving safety. Philips CrystalVision 5000ºK bulbs are DOT compliant and street legal. Available in: D2R, D2S |
