How to with pics: Rear bumper cover mod for installed hitch

If I would have done this again, I would have scored the cover down the center with a razor instead of using the dremel to break it in half. I feel like that removed too much material by cutting in half with the dremel. I also removed a little too much material on the top side of the long skinny cuts. Cutting in half makes it much easier to install/remove. I'm not sure how some people got around that, but I couldn't with the K40 rear radar sensor. Pay no mind to the asymmetrical notch in the lower part of the right piece, that's the passthrough hole for the radar cable.

All in all, I'm happy with the first try at this. So, to recap:

- Cut in half (score with razor)
- Start trying to slide both pieces in from the side.
- Remove material when you hit an obstruction

Here are pictures as a reference. (Remember, I removed too much material on the top side of the long skinny cuts) Measure twice and cut once. :)

Thank you. I wasn't the first to do this, but hope the detail of the pictures help someone else. :)

Nice job. I actually don't mind the look without the cover. It looks kinda beefy. Where do you plug in the trailer lighting harness? Do you have to remove the cover before you plug in?

Really nice. I'll definitely do this.

Nice job. I tried this a long time ago and failed. I think it was because I didnt cut it in half, never though of that. I couldnt get the damn thing on with it in one piece and kept removing material.
