Hi M8, yes im across the pond and my X5 is right hand drive, i took the speaker unit out last night. Nothing looked out of place but its just a small circuit board and speaker so i ordered a new unit from my local bmw dealer, £26 trade price ( approx 38 dollars). i have left the original disconnected and now the pdc led flashes and i get the constant tone when the system engages.

will post on here when i get the new unit and if it cures my problem. thanks again for your help

FIXED, the first speaker unit i had from bmw was the wrong type, the second unit was correct and fitted last night and works perfectly, i now have front pdc all for the costly sum of £45. Happy chappie now

Steve HI I got similar issue BUT only my outer sensors do not result in an audible gong neither up front or rear...inners work its nuts, no long beep the pdc lights green when pressed and all sensors click...had no work or bumps recently to X5....

where exactly are the gongs for the pdc system? up front above drivers pedals and in rear where?
