The sensor is two pieces... the part permanently mounted to the glass (which is that dark blue/purple rectangular part) and the electronic part of the sensor that clips on to it which is swapped over. As long as the part that is permanently mounted to the glass is there with no air pockets it should be fine.

I can take a pic tonight but I looked at it this morning and the it says Pilkington (didn't read the fine print). Called the glass company and they admitted that the one they installed was the wrong one. Editor's comment that came w/o the lens sensor cover attached and so they just re-used the old one :banghead:

Well after 6 weeks, we got a new BMW window installed yesterday so all is good. :D
For those of you that like all the details here ya go - like I said in my last post, window was suppose to get replaced last Saturday. Get a call that morning saying window (non-OEM) was still on a truck from North Carolina so need to re-schedule - mind you now that this is the 4th attempt to get it right. And they tell me that someone from the company will call Monday. Well you know how that goes, so I ended up calling and getting appt for yesterday. Get a call from the installer that they were going over to get the window from the local BMW dealer. So what I think happened is that the one window never showed up and they just bought the one locally . . . which they should have done in the first place :banghead:.
Anyways, she's all back together but now we discovered last night that the plastic radiator overflow hose broke so off to the dealer to get that plus radiator cap, bleeder screw and coolant (recommended from another post). . . know what I'll be doing this weekend.
