if you were in Calgary you would be changing every 5k lol
i hate pot holes, (one of the reason i dont drive my F1 every week)i had 05 caddy divelle with 22'' just make me not want to pay anything to the gov for roads they are that bad, worst then third row country lol. got to be here to make money tho :D.

I hear ya, I have to deal with the crappy Calgary roads everyday in my X5 during work. Potholes along with endless construction zones, combo speed cameras, and of course Calgary's worst drivers.

Apologies in advance for the poor quality picture but I thought I would share a pic of my new rims. AC Schnitzer Type V 22" Wheels.

Looks great.
But I believe those are Type II wheels not Type V

Nice wheels.. but what have you done with staggered? Or your X had no staggered wheels prior?

AlfaMale 05-17-2010 12:22 PM

LeMansX5 thanks I was told they were type V wheels however I'll bow to the experts on this one

Mine came with the standard staggered sport alloys, the new wheels came with some hefty spacers which look great IMO. The original alloys I propose to sell on

Oh yeah that explains it.... now just curious what size are the tyres?

Love the rims!

I was using BBS CH 20s and decided to swap back to 19s because of terrible road conditions where I work...

Nevertheless your car looks awesome!

285 35 22 tyres, I purchased the set used with one wheel suffering an unrepairable puncture, so I had to change two tyres in the end.

I wanted the original Michellin Diamaris to match the others and as per standard OEM fit but they have stopped making these in this size now :(

I like those wheels alot. I think the type II and type III were the best wheels ac schnitzer made.

Cool Rims!

Nice rims, but I don't think it looks right on the X5. I'm a big fan of the stock 20" rims on the X5. Escalades, Range Rovers and Hummers look good with aftermarket rims...X5's don't.

Just my honest opinion.
