Remote window closing?

I know you non-US guys are laughing at me right now, but the US X5s cannot roll up their windows via the remote. Is there any way to make this happen? I've been told that if the general module is programmed as a euro car that I can in key memory, but I'd like to find out if that's true or how it's done?

Pretty sure this is possible. I remember that its possible for us but may cost quite a pretty penny for. I do remember someone saying BMW disabled this for the US because of potential Lawsuits from Americans.

Yes, we have coded this for a number of X5s in-house.

It's a cool feature albeit you don't look so cool stood next to the car holding the remote button down for what seems like an eternity to full open / close the windows and sunroof. If only you could programme it so that just a long press, say 3 secs would trigger the full closure option rather than having to continually hold the button.

Agreed it would also be cool if you could just press unlock 3x and all the windows would roll down automatically without having to hold it down.

Did you get this done at Calgary BMW? When I asked they said no, however one of the SA's gave me a card for a guy who used to work at Calgary BMW who does custom programming.
