Hi Juan,

I also have a black X and think contrary to most of the recent posts. Titanium will blend well with black. My sport package, I believe, added the titanium kidney grills and grills in front of the windshield on my '04. IMO they look amazing enough to prompt me to consider the tailgate and even mirror trim. Here is a picture of my grills on Carbon Black.

As for the running boards, I also think they really suit this truck well. I just find them completely nonfunctional. The only thing they do well is get my pant legs dirty.

Take care, Man,

Kristoffer

Juan,
I'd definitely get the running boards. Still undecided about the carbon fiber pillar covers. I think the titanium trim would look OK, but would need running boards to complete the look.

A car like yours with such a nice steering wheel calls for more mods indeed ;) . All of these you listed sounds great.

Thanks for all the comments, guys. And, yes, Alain, it was that steering wheel mod that got me thinking about "completing" the look. So, I've got you guys to blame! :D

Here's the funny part: even the CEO seems to have warmed up to the idea of my modding the car. (well, it's not the modding she minds; it's the cost of the modding. ) The other night, we were driving back from the Panthers' game (they were short a couple of cheerleaders, by the way :bustingup) and another X5 with angel eyes was behind us. I pointed it out, and said to her, "There -- that's angel eyes. See how cool that looks?" She says, "Oh wow, yeah. You should do the same. Why don't you do it?" My jaw just dropped! I said, "well, there is the 'baking' thing you have to do, and I don't know that I feel comfortable doing that. I think I'd much rather do the aluminum running boards first, anyway." She just said, "Oh, OK." So, I need to do this before she changes her mind... lol
