Rain Sensors
 

Just wondering if you guys have this problem. I have an 03' X5 and currently using the rain sensor on windshield wipers. When it is raining, my rain sensor does not automatically start the wipers unless I hit the switch once. After that, they will automatically sense the rain. Do you guys have this problem or do your wipers automatically come on when it rains?

This is the way mine works, has since it was new (2001).

That is the way they are designed.
