alfamale's tank
I made the most of the good weather to spend some well needed time on the tank, along with trying some new products out.
I was very impressed with Dodo Juice Born Slippy Clay Bar Lube which made the whole process much easier, and is far better than the Meguirs detailing spray I was using previously. I also tried the Dodo Juice quick detailing red mist spray after I had given the car a thorough coat of Zymol Carbon Wax but found this to streak quite badly, to the point I had to re-cover the panels in Zymol to remove the streaks. Wheels were coated in Poorboys Alloy Wheel Sealant which I'm also very impressed with Anyway the results... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...k/DSC01356.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...k/DSC01361.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...k/DSC01362.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...k/DSC01363.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...k/DSC01365.jpg |
my most favourite paint colour
not too keen on the interior colour those wheels make the brakes look tiny .nice wheels , I prefer the comedy look of the style 87 , 4.8is rear wheels . |
Nice detail! I think the zymol wax left a tiny imperfection on your panel in the form of an M. What r u doing!!!!!!!!!?

Makes me want to get 22s but like 10" wide fronts and 12" in the back - if it would fit! :D 20s okay too ... but don't wanna have pay to play ... $3K-6K is a little too much just for wheels. |
What color is that, midnight blue? Looks outstanding!

Ha Ha Ha as they say each to their own, I for one don't like black wheels but notice you have them fitted to yours. It's the difference of opinions that makes this a forum, afterall it would be a very boring place if we all had the exactly the same car wouldn't it? |
Looks so much darker than Toledo Blue I have to say. Must be the light. Very nice.

OR it was applied to soon after the wax application. we recommend that Red Mist or Tropical not be used on wax before a minimum of 24 hours has passed. this is due to the solvent nature of the product which can result in the re-solution of the wax underneath and then recuring to appear as streaks. if it is none of those, then i would be happy to replace it with another and have it sent in so i can research the reason for the product streaking. but please have a go at my recommendations first. hope this helps |
