1 Attachment(s)
almost a full tank.. babyseat in the back, 3 bottles of water, wife's white coat on a hanger, med gear bag in the trunk, 7 quarters in the coin holder, icepod in the console bin...
must be the ipod that makes it so heavy, huh? |
is that some sort of electronic scale?
|
yeppers... intercomp is leader and one of the best in the racing industry...
|
Front heavy...
|
Adam,
Do you have the 4.4? Heck, even the 3.0 weighs 4700 lbs. Your car is actually quite trim! :D  Juan |
What's so heavy in the front right?
|
it's actually 51% front, 49% rear... unlike what bmw claims.. 49% front/51% rear...
makes ya say hmmmm.... could be a typo that got out and marketing never fixed it... Juan, yep, its a 4.4. |
What's with the 1282 v 1186 in the front? I could see the the full tank of gas causing the weight to be off btwn left and righ in the back.
|
no car is evenly balanced... you got different equipment mounted in different places all over the car...each having a different weight and different CG...
bmw engineers do their best to bring the weight in balance as they can... but it will never be perfect.... |
"Porker", lol!
I've come to the conclusion that No vehicle on the planet weighs what the mfg'er says it does. The worst offender are the scoot mfg'ers. I had the Vette weighed for fun: it was 160 lbs more than Chebby says. They must weigh the sumbitch w/no gas, no oil, no coolant, no p/s fluid, no brake fluid, etc. NEway, quite a scale there, Adam.
