lowering springs
 

what would be a good lowering spring? im looking for a drop about a inch. and would i have to change the shocks on the car?

eibach! get everything you need at ECS tuning. there prices are great and they have new adjustable kits for the bilstein shocks.

I love mine B&G S2 lower springs.

the thing is im looking for somthing that is not too hard of a ride but firm enough that when you take turns that its going to stick

Both Eibach and B&G will satisfy your need. I personally have B&Gs that I installed earlier this week and the difference while taking turns is tremendous. Either or will increase handling.

About your stock shocks. You don't have to BUT because of the drop, it will increase the stress on your stock shocks. I have heard of them failing later on after installing lowering springs from other members. If you want to skip the pain and stress, ECS tuning have Belstein HD shocks for a really good price. Does ride softness stay the same?

aftermarket cannot be compared to oem. you will always notice a slight bumpiness

If you don't want a firmer harsh ride then don't lower, you are going to hate it, trust me. You want better handling then start with the Eibach sway bars.

have done the sway bars but want just a bit more of a sporty feel. i have had a lowered car for about 10 years and like it, but the truck just not sure that its going to be what im looking for i like the stiffer ride but i dont want it to be as hard as the car. also i think that some spring sets have a bit more give than some other spring sets like h&r from what i remember from my e30 there were hard i mean very hard. but then i switched to eibach and they were vey soft my e36 i have have a cup kit from england i think they are kv or k somthing and they are the best thing i have ever had but they dont make anything for the X so i dont know. i guess its personal preference but i want to have somthing in the middle.any ideas guys ?????
oh i would like to say this site is the best thing i have ever found on the net just did the front sway bar links on the x and it feels nice. they were clunking i thought somthing was falling off the front end but read up on the site and replaced them myself and it was easy thanks forr all the help and the input guy and gals !!!!
