very welcome.

I looked on ebay and there were only used ones here in Germany so I'm going to call the dealer tomorrow to see how much they are.
According to the BMW online parts catalogue they have been discontinued so I have no clue how much they will be.... :(

This was covered in a similar thread a few weeks ago. Here is the link.

Note that the alarm switch under the hood has had the part number updated twice, it is no longer the part number ending in 229. It is item 6 in the parts picture in post 14, below.

ECS list it at $13, the dealer might be a dollar or two more.

Grand I found everything I need. Talked to the local dealer and they are cheaper than ECS (about $2), so I'll pick on up later today or tomorrow.

Thanks a lot.

I have been having the random alarm issue for a while now. I recently unplugged the hood sensor and the alarm is still randomly going off. Any ideas or has anyone else experienced this??

+1 on the hood sensor causing random alarms.

So this problem has plagued my wife for years. We thought there was a short somewhere. This thread is amazing, thank you! I unplugged the sensor from the hood and all the crazy lights flashing stopped right away! We may even lock the truck again now!

Thanks again for the info, guys!
