Engine knock

I have weird engine knock. And it's getting worse. Here is YouTube video: YouTube - bmw x5 4.4i engine noise after removing oil cap. The noise is Loud and same, just BEFORE oil cup was removed on video. That n62 engine. Anybody had that problem before?

You are not supposed to take the oil cap off when the engine is running.

Check oil levels.

Oil level is on maximum.

M62 or n62. Sounds like camgears a knocking on the vanos. Or it needs s valve adjustment

N62 it has valvetronic. No vanos

hi you probebly fixed it by now,and i think you have a broken guide rail in there.I had the same thing.let me know what you did.thanks
