changed the bushes but still got the same symptoms, do you think it could be the new discs? though it did do it before i changed the discs but i don't think it was as bad! my mechanic said that the
bushes wasn't even that worn but i said may aswell change them now that i had purchased them anyway.. The dealer had initially said that they were heavily worn and due for replacement when i had it serviced! it was written on the service invoice! |
Did you change the thrust arm bushings or the lower control arms? There are usually different symptoms for each...

Hi weasel, its NO.7 in the diagram for the front axle! I'm using my phone so can't get the diagram up at the moment, is it the right part? Thanks mate
|
Ok, that's the thrust arm bushings. Those when work would cause a clunk/thump feel when you first hit the brakes and over sumps/going up curbs etc. The shaking upon braking at highway speeds is usually the lower control arm, #10.

Oh, I thought NO.7 caused the vibration under braking, well they are changed now anyway! And didn't even need changing! I guess I'll have to get the control arms looked at now, thanks for your response weasel
