My honest opinion is that they do not look like a BMW product, personally I would not buy them. Sorry!

what do u mean they don't look like the BMW 214's? they look pretty damn close to me.

juppalgae 07-28-2010 08:45 PM

lol.

these are replicas...

anybody else? i know there are tons of guys with replica experience and wheel gurus here.

mywidebody02 07-28-2010 09:17 PM

i have had 2 sets, a set of 19" M6 reps and 18" 4.6 reps for snows and had no problems. My boy has the 20" 214 reps on his 4.4 and has also had no problems. I haven't heard any complaints on this forum with reps and there are a lot out there. just make sure u buy from a good seller.

juppalgae 07-28-2010 11:22 PM

mywide, can you tell me where your son bought the 214 reps?

How long have you and your boy had them for?

mywidebody02 07-29-2010 08:42 AM

my boy means my friend. I have had the 18's for 3 years. the are what i use in the winters. My M6 reps were on my e46 for 3 weeks before some one totaled it. My friend has had his for a year no problems.

lake shore wheel and tire. if om not mistaken there is a new sponsor that also carries them. They have an ad in the upper right. i would see what kind of deal they would give for being a member first. I think its king detail.

juppalgae 07-29-2010 11:18 AM

i pmed the detail king and he doesn't have these specific wheels. :(

javierh8 07-29-2010 11:24 AM

hey buddy, i bought the same rims from that seller and from ebay also. They work just perfect and saved a load of money. Go for it!!!

juppalgae 07-29-2010 07:26 PM

were they balanced? how long have you had these wheels now?

motordavid 07-29-2010 07:40 PM

juppalgae, since your inbox is full, heres the PM

Hey,

I didnt run my tires year round; but, i know people who did run them on 20" wheels and said they handled great in the snow. I wouldn't go exploring ski slopes in them--but they can definitely get you around in the winter without a problem.

Naz

juppalgae 07-30-2010 09:19 AM

thanks naz. your 20 wheels are factory or replica wheels? what about winter wheels?

I bought aftermarket TSW rims, they are holding up great. in the winter i put my stock 18s back on, i'm going to wait until the Michelin MXV4s wear out on my stock and then buy snows for them

juppalgae 07-30-2010 10:16 AM

tsw good wheels?

do they offer the proper spec including the offset for e53?

PaulE 07-31-2010 12:07 AM

I have replicas wheels on my wife's 325xi (winter tires). Absolutely no problems with them and much less expensive. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the company I bought them from but it was off of ebay.

m5james 08-04-2010 01:32 AM

Jupp, what color is your X? I've posted a pic in the past of a white E70 with 22" Y-Spoke wheels and it looks awesome. Between Lakeshore Tire & Wheel and Detail King, those $800 something single wheel prices on eBay are stupidly high. I'm still hoping DK eventually puts up some pics of those X6M wheels to so we can see how well the offset sits with the edges of the fenders. Getting an offset that lines the wheels up perfectly flush with the fenders is my biggest concern.

juppalgae 08-05-2010 09:27 PM

i wouldn't go with 22. personally think 22 way out of proportion on e53. maybe for bigger suvs like cadillacs.

m5james 08-06-2010 12:13 AM

id usually agree, but since they were a factory looking Y spoke, it looked like it belonged vs any other aftermarket wheel of some other design.
