al r/b installation
 
so i am getting my rbs today and probably will try to install them tomorrow or over the weekend. so anyone have any tips/suggestions on how to make it painless? also will i need a torx wrench and if so adjusted to what torque wohoo i cant wait :dancing:

i've read the article above but i am not putting the car on a lift neither am i taking the wheels off im a bit concerned about that

I was able to do it without taking the wheels off or putting it on a lift. I used two of the smaller blind rivets on the lower portion of the wheel well...You cannot get the rivet gun in there with the 20" wheels. It took me about 2 hours to do the job...very easy and straight forward.

i have 19s hopefully i wont have too much trouble as long as i dont over or under tighten the screws i think i should be fine... the cold @$$ weather here in NYC might prove to be a challenge. thanks for the heads up guys as always much appreciated... i will post pics once its all on.

Wear gloves! I would hate to see pics of the running boards frozen to your bare hands!!

Actually, that would be a pretty nifty photo, but it would hurt!!

Should be an easy mod, I think the instructions called for a torque wrench to bolt the supports onto the frame. I didn't have one and didn't use one.

Make sure you have a plastic rivet gun, that makes the process alot easier. I also did it without lifts, wasn't a problem. Save one of the short rivets for the rear wheel. Just post if you run into problems, I find that quite a number of people on this board are eager to help.
