white smoke solved
i changed the oil separator about 4 months ago and i found the return oil hose was ruptured
I thought that was it. can run fine for a week and then there it was again
long story short .. the rear intake manifold cover on m62 has a diaphram
you cannot buy the diaphram by it self and from my experience not even bmw parts knew that the rear cover does a lot more than just cover.
when i pulled the the cover out and opened it up the diaphram was ruptured
I bought a new from dealership about $100 and problem solved
so if you have M62 engine change oil separator AND rear intake manifold cover.
You do not have to remove manifold
Be creative, remove a couple of coolant hoses and job should take less than 1 hour

i think this solution is applicable only for M62 engines as mine is N62 :dunno: i sent it to several worshops and all said that they have to open the engine and the problem will be oil going into cylenders .. and some mechanical terms i couldnt understand :(
now am waiting until the smoke gets more seriose before i admit it and allow them to open the engine..as this would cost here at least something around 3k$ :yikes:

white smoke

I am not sure the setup of N62 but what i would do i remove the throttle or the front cover of the intake manifold and check if there is oil inside the intake manifold. when the ccv valve or the oil separator fails, engine vacuum sucks oil from engine to intake manifold and then it ends up in cylinders
check intake manifold for oil.

I saw this picture while going to www.realoem.com for something completely unrelated. From this cutaway, it looks like there is some sort of oil seperator type thing from looking at this picture...just throwing it out there.

the smoke is becoming too much but still once accelarating and not all the time.. am afraid that i will lose the whole engine if i waited more :dunno:

I realize the seperator is different for the M and N 62 engines, that's why I posted that pic of the N62.
