light board is flickering

Hello

I have a e53 from 2003 3.0 diesel and from this evening when i turn on the lights, all the interior lights (board, doors, ...) is flickering. If i reduce the intensity it is stable but the lights have low intensity. And all the lights around the navigation screen is off.

my 325 had some flickering problems on the odometer. I replaced the battery and it resolves the problem. BTW it was about 5-6 year old OEM battery.

Could be a bad battery.

Also have a look at the alternator voltage in case there's a regulator issue. Should be around 13.8-14.4V with a fully charged battery. Does the flickering change frequency when you increase the engine revs? Any alternator warning lights (even glowing dimly)?

In the goolld old days, cars were fitted with ammeters and oil pressure guages which told you there was a problem!! Now you don't even get a coolant temp guage on the newest models :wow:
