speaker issues please help
 

:yikes::yikes::yikes::yawn::yawn:Hello everyone, i purchased an x5 4.8is with what i think is dsp....sounds very echoe so i went in the dsp and lowered the level not so bad now. the guy before me put the dice ipod interface inplace of the cdc. when i bought it my iphone 3gs did not work so i needed my tunes and uplugged the dice and replugged the cdc but it had a six pin and not the coaxial so i plugged in the six pin and now the cdc sound comes out of the drivers side and very very low on the passengers side. but the radio and tape sound is equal on both sides its just the cdc that sounds terrible.....any help? am i missing the coaxial to connect from the amp to the cdc?

Hey aj... sorry that I don't know the answer as I'm still looking for a 4.8 to purchase. Just wanted to drop in and say nice one, i like the powdered black rims against the blue. GL with the speaker problem.

Make sure you connected the connectors properly (there are two of them). Very easy to not get lined up correctly or not push them in all the way...

Hey Kirk, Thanks for the response this is driving me crazy, i just unplugged and replugged them tightly and same thing. i did just notice that my six pin plug only has three wires comming out of it....is this normal or do you think he rigged it to apply his dice and removed the coaxial....i heard that 06's are now analog dsp not digital do you know the answer because both the cdc and am have a coaxial female connection..Thanks i appreciate your help!!

Thanks hipnotic and GL on your search......Kirk when you say there are two plugs you mean the three pin which is power and the six pin (which mine has only three wires) correct? or is the second wire the coaxial?

kirk, you were correct i got fed up and unplugged again and jammed the shit out of the plugs back in (almost on purpose to break them so it gave me a reason to bring it to dealer to have fixed) and BAM all the speakers kicked on!!!!! sounds a hell of a lot better, well as good as stock could i guess....Thanks for your help!!

Glad it worked out. To be honest, I don't remember how many wires are in each plug. I just remember I screwed up when I did my intravee/Alpine ipod interface and didn't have one of the connectors plugged in properly. Took a while to figure out as everything *looked* good...
