rear bush info needed. please help!
 

i seem to be getting a squeak from the bushes on what i believe is called the rear lower swing arm, on my 2001 x5 4.4.
the bushes that no. 16 & 18 bolts go through.

can i just change the bushes or do i have to replace the whole lot?
has anybody on here got a how to do this please.

Its an aluminium part and you can't replace the bushes you need to change the whole thing. I did mine earlier this year as the bushes had completely gone. They need replaceing in pairs and BMW charge around £300 each for them. I managed to get 2 off ebay from a scrappy for around £65 took about 2 hours to fit.

Try replacing the anti roll bar bushes first as they are cheaper/easier to do and most likely the culprit;)
Mine was sqeaking like made reversing up my drive until i changed the arb bushes and then it was cured:thumbup:
