Check brake light, Check Rear light
That's what the X tells me when i put the key in and before leaving. (it's been happening for 3 days now)
But i checked tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, everything's ok. I've installed clear tail lights with stealth bulbs for the turn signals on my 02 3.0 about 3 months ago. Do i need to reset something? Any clues? :dunno: |
anybody?

happened to me too when changing to clears. there's nothing to reset, but you have to make sure that the bulbs are properly fitting into the socket. it took me a few times putting the bulb in a few times before I not only got the light to work, but for the check brake light indicator to go away.

thanks man, but i'm just wondering why the computer took 3 months to figure out there's something wrong...

As suggested, try twisting the sockets to get a better connection. The BMW computers read the resistance to determine if there is a problem, so if one of the connections is weak then it will cause a higher resistance and trigger the warning light.

You need to change the sockets. This happened to me a few weeks ago. Dealer said that my bulbs was causing the problem, but after I proved them wrong, they changed all of the sockets under warranty and all is well.....Phil

Since we are on the topic about rear bk lights
On the right rear passenger side, I have a problem changing the third brake light from the bottom. It seems that my factory speakers are in the way. I've changed the rear lights from the driver side before with no problem because I can put my hand and take out the bulbs with no problem. So to my follow memebers how do I change the bulb. Is there a way to move the speakers out the way to change the bulbs ? :dunno:
