rust proof/oil spray
 

Do you guys spray the undercarriage yearly on your x5? Just wondering if i should...i usually do on all my cars, but many have told me its a waste of money on german cars(vw, audi, bmw)
any thoughts?

No, waste of money.

Aftermarket undercoatings, and home-applied sprays, stopped being beneficial when manufacturers started using galvanized panels, and applying factory undercoat, many years ago.

I just went at it with some Tremclad matte black rust paint and 6 years later not a spot of rust anywhere.

i was thinking of spraying it, just to keep to measure....moreless piece of mind, something is better then nothing.....dam canadian roads!!!

In many cases it is worse than nothing, not better. Spraying any type of sealer over any existing corrosion speeds up the corrosion. It holds the moisture in.
