Sirius AND Bluetooth in an '01 E53 (no NAV)?
Hello all - great forum! I'm the proud new owner of an '01 E53 3.0 (no NAV). The only problem is that I'm addicted to Sirius, and spend a lot of time on work calls in the car. How can I install both Sirius and Bluetooth WITHOUT removing the OEM radio or using and FM modulator (for Sirius)? I've looked at all of the posts in the tips section, but hoping maybe there's a new, simple aftermarket solution out there that somebody knows about.
Thanks in advance! |
There are kits to add Bluetooth to your E53 - I did it on my 2004 (it was a Jan 2004 build so didn't have it); however it was spendy. I added an XM kit to it that works with the OEM unit - however, since yours is a 2001, you'll probably need a new radio module that has the aux connections. Can find that on eBay or other sources.

Joe, thanks very much. These are great starting points, and I'm also waiting to hear back from BSW to see if their DICE kit will work

We actually just released a product that will do Bluetooth, Sirius as well as iPod and USB Intergration! It is the Dice Media Bridge, more info can be found here.
