ekimv...in lieu of wringing hands, a Search Tab hunt turns up a dozen plus pages of Threads on batteries, battery replacement, etc., including easy DIY, with pics.

Search works, as a heads up for the unenthused, uninvigorated, and the growing group of excitable boys, as Zevon wrote and sang. :D
